Elephant charge
The sky threatens, but rains do not come. Water points are now rarest. The last ones, fed by pumps, have turned into viscous mud ponds around which the animals rush nonetheless. The elephants monopolize ponds, pushing away the other animals, which try to approach. They also fight between them to access some clear water still flowing. In times of shortage, the animal is particularly subservient to its concern in self conservation. The struggle for his own survival predominates! No question of mutual assistance or empathy! Younger animals are thus pushed regardless, so that they venture out or fall in the mud until they cannot sometimes get out. Therefore, it was necessary, each of these days, to pull out elephants calves of the mud in which they were captured. Continue reading
